Description: Despite initially challenging weather, the 2018 Bordeaux vintage resulted in wines of excellent quality. The Amiral de Beychevelle is dominated by a purity of the fruit, the finesse of the tannins and elegant oaky notes that come together to offer a silky palate. Château Beychevelle 2018 is a harmonious marriage between the elegance and precision of Cabernet Sauvignon and the generosity and roundness of the Merlot.
The final blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon 62%, Merlot 27% & Cabernet Franc 11%. The rigorous selection process undergone by Château Beychevelle results in the creation of its second wine, Amiral de Beychevelle. Despite being made from young vines, Amiral de Beychevelle benefits from the same growing techniques, meticulous sorting, and traditional barrel ageing.
Aroma: Dark fruit with cedar and herbal notes on the nose.
Palate: It’s full-bodied with firm tannins. Juicy and savory character on the palate with a balanced structure. Flavorful finish.
