Bright, clean, fresh and tight, the nose immediately displays strawberry, cream, cassis, raspberries; more lightning than thunder, though there is still a strong rumble.
The palate shows distinctive apricot flavours and has a slightly sweet texture and tannin profile. These traits lead to the deception that there is Viognier added to this wine, and this is a common perception for Barossa Shiraz in warmer years.
