When the carefully grown Nanko plums turn yellow, they give off a lovely aroma that spreads over the entire farm. Only carefully selected tree-ripened Nanko plums are soaked in Zampa, a type of Ryukyu Awamori, (distilled beverage made from rice, containing 60% old vintage).
Plenty of coarsely stained flesh of fully ripened plums is added to this plum liqueur with a mellow aroma and a robust flavour, resulting in an acidic, refreshing taste.
