Aroma: Dark amber color with a clean and intense aroma of caramelized sugar cane accompanied by the bouquet of noble wood. 

Palate: The long aging time in the oak barrel offers a softand round touches in the mouth with elegant sweetness from the sugar cane.

Conclusion: It possesses a good structure and evolution in the palate. Complex and intense aromas of sugar cane. Aged in American oak barrels. Sweet flavor with high character and persistence.

Cocktail Recipe: Classic Dark & Stormy with Don Maddero Extra Anejo

Ingredients:
2 oz apple cider
2 oz Ron Maddero Extra Añejo
4 oz ginger beer
1 lime

Preparation:
Combine apple cider, Ron Maddero Extra Añejo, ginger beer, and juice of half of the lime in a cocktail shaker or tall glass and stir until combined. Cut the other half of the lime into wedges, and serve in a tall glass over ice.

 

Cocktail Recipe: Desk Job with Don Maddero Extra Anejo

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 ounce Don Maddero Extra Anejo
  • 3/4 ounce Don Maddero Dorado
  • 3/4 ounce Punt e Mes (spicy, orange-accented Italian sweet vermouth)
  • 3/4 ounce Cynar (bitter, artichoke-flavored aperitif)
  • Ice
  • 1 lime twist, for garnish

Preparation:

In a mixing glass, combine the rums. Fill the glass with ice and stir well. Strain into a chilled, ice-filled rocks glass. Pinch the lime twist over the drink and add to the glass.

 

Cocktail Recipe:  Halekulani Melon Daiquiri

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces Don Maddero Extra Anejo
  • 1/4 cantaloupe—peeled, seeded and cut into cubes, plus 1 cantaloupe wedge
  • 1 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • Dash of Orange Bitters
  • 6 ounces crushed ice
  • 1 mint sprig

Preparation:

In a blender, puree all of the ingredients except the cantaloupe wedge and mint sprig. Pour into a snifter and garnish with the cantaloupe wedge and mint sprig.
