Bruichladdich Octomore Edition 13.3 Single Malt Whisky

This limited edition single malt from Ardbeg distillery - Drum was released on Ardbeg Day 2019 during Feis Ile. Matured in ex-bourbon casks and rested in ex-rum casks, it's a funky, showy whiskey. The nose is filled with aromas of ripe banana, pineapple, cocoa and incense with hints of ginger, cinnamon and lavender. The palate offers aromas of black pepper, ginger, cloves and licorice, as well as dark chocolate, rich smoke and vanilla. The smoky, fruity Ardbeg Drum is the perfect way to celebrate Feis Ile. Campfire wood smoke intermingles with earthy pine, and sweet tropical aromas of ripe bananas, banana bread and pineapple stand out. Some hints of rich dark chocolate and candied ginger add depth. Lots of spice, including pepper, cloves, cinnamon, and more ginger, surrounded by smoke, sweetness from licorice, and even dark chocolate and vanilla pods. Roasted, slightly burnt coffee beans with sweet cinnamon and cocoa powder.
