Domaine Barville is Laurent Brotte’s family estate, in the name of ancestors, the Barville. The 15ha vineyard is situated on the west side of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and is composed of seven parcels. Complex and aromatic with summer stone fruits and dried apricots developing into notes of delicately caramelized buttery hazelnut. The front palate is full and rich with intermingling notes of fresh fruits (apple, peach , apricot), vanilla and freshly baked brioche. The finish is elegant and has remarkable length. Excellent ageing potential. Enjoy with smoked salmon and white asparagus, brandade de morue, grilled lobster, warm goat’s cheese salad or for dessert with tarte tatin (apple pie).
